Edinburgh Capitals have signed 6ft 4" 220lb defenceman Jacques Perreault to add a huge physical presence to the blueline. Jacques will be entering his second professional season after spending a successful year with the Quad City Mallards of the IHL.

Dear Capitals fans,
This is just a quick note to let you know that after 10 years of working for the Edinburgh Capitals I have now decided to move on to pastures new. It's been a fun time (well fun mixed with stress most of the time) and I'm glad I had the opportunity to be involved by now I don't feel I can dedicate enough time to the Capitals to do them justice.

Neil Dolan to join Capitals Elite Hockey Academy

Neil Dolan is the latest young Scottish player to join the Edinburgh Capitals Elite Hockey Academy. Neil has represented Scotland at under 11, 14, 15, 17 and 19s age groups and was developed through the Elgin Ice Hockey club.

Adam Taylor takes centre stage

Forward Adam Taylor is the Edinburgh Capitals latest roster addition. Taylor spent last season playing in the ECHL for the Victoria Salmon Kings where he had 31 points, from 13 goals and 18 assists, and had 68 penalty minutes. Taylor as played over 300 professional games, is a strong two way centre who competes every night. He is a face off specialist who likes to shoot the puck.

Young forward Nick Fanto has become Brad Gratton's next signing for the Edinburgh Capitals. Fanto has spent the past four seasons playing for the University Of Nebraska-Omaha in the NCAA. Fanto weighs in at 205 lbs and is 6'2" tall.

Gratton calls on Danish youth with Madsen

Brad Gratton has added to the Edinburgh Capitals defence with the signing of young Danish player Daniel Madsen. Daniel spent the last two season playing for Aalborg in Denmark, he is also in the national team squad and has played in the World Junior Championships Division 1.

Defenceman Evan Schafer is the first signing for Edinburgh Capitals coach Brad Gratton. Evan Schafer is 6'2", weighs 225 lbs and was a 4th round pick, 105 overall, in the NHL entry draft to Florida Panthers in 2004. He has spent the last four seasons playing for University of Saskatchewan in the CWUAA.

The Edinburgh Capitals have signed their first player for the Elite Capitals Hockey Academy. Willie Nicolson, formerly of the Fife Flyers, is determined to develop his hockey further within the framework of the Academy.

Brad Gratton is Capitals head coach

Brad Gratton has agreed to join the Edinburgh Capitals as head coach for the 2010/11 season in the Elite Ice Hockey League.
Gratton had a long career as a player with experience across the OHL, ECHL, WPHL and CHL and has done stints with teams in Austria, Germany and Finland. In the 1990s he also managed to play in the UK for Cardiff Devils, Streatham Redskins and Chelmsford Chieftains.

Ian Hanson

It is with deep regret that the Edinburgh Capitals announce the sad loss to a heart attack of long time fan and supporter of Edinburgh hockey Ian Hanson.
Ian has followed Hockey in Edinburgh 1950's and has volunteered many hours to all the senior and junior clubs based at Murrayfield during his long association with the sport.
The club would like to offer their deepest condolences at this sad time for the Hanson family.

Martin Cingel has agreed to return to the Edinburgh Capitals for the 10/11 season in the Elite Ice Hockey League. This will make Cingel's ninth season with the Capitals since he first came to the UK.

Hutchins delighted to be back

Jeff Hutchins is delighted to have agreed a return to the Edinburgh Capitals for the 10/11 season in the Elite Ice Hockey League. As soon as the 09/10 season ended Hutchins approached the Capitals to get a new deal in place as they were his number one choice.
